Woman of the Year 2005-2006

We take pleasure in informing you that the panel of judges for the  Woman of the Year Award comprising Mr. Nana Chudasama, Mr. Jamsheed Kanga and Mr. Cyrus Guzder have unanimously decided that the Woman of the Year Award 2005-2006  for Heritage Conservation be conferred on:

Ms. Abha Narain Lambah
Ms. Lambah is a conservation architect. She is actively involved in the conservation and protection of heritage structures, creating awareness on the subject, educating people and generating revenue to restore the heritage structures across Mumbai. She is the youngest members of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s heritage committee. Some of her restoration projects include the Mumbai University Convocation Hall, Elphinstone College, Tata Palace, Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalay, Sir JJ School of Arts, Horniman Circle, Royal Bombay Yacht Club and Kodak House. She was commissioned to frame the first urban conservation guidelines in India.
