Indo - South African Co-operation

India and South Africa share the common understanding that global economic relations continue to be characterized by huge inequalities, with large sections of the world yet to reap the benefits of globalization. The formation of a trilateral partnership - IBSA together with Brazil - has strengthened the relationship further between these two countries and is a unique example of South-South co-operation. Prospects for future growth in trade & investment between the two countries are very good. Focus areas for extension of bilateral relations include tourism promotion, technology exchange, defence cooperation & trade in areas such as agricultural products, textiles, machinery & engineering products, ICT & biotechnology, electronic & electrical products, chemicals & metal ores & products.
