It is important t...o create a sports culture in India by maximising the potential of Indian sports and athletes. To build a culture of sports excellence in India and usher in a change in the way it is perceived in the country, it needs professional management of sports teams and athletes, to bring the change.

An audacious dream to build India into a global sports powerhouse is now coming true. Mr. Mustafa Ghouse, CEO of JSW Sports will share his experience on building a platform to help India become a global superpower in the sports world.

Mr. Ghouse is a former professional tennis player, an Asian Games bronze medallist and currently the CEO of JSW Sports. Since its inception in 2012 he holds different managerial positions to support Indian athletes at the Olympic Games and operate teams in the Indian Premier League, the Indian Super League, and the Pro-Kabaddi League. He led the JSW Sports Excellence Programme (SEP), which is their flagship endeavor currently supporting 49 athletes across the Olympic disciplines - boxing, judo, wrestling, swimming and athletics.

The session will be moderated by Ms. Aparna Popat, a former Indian badminton player, recipient of Arjuna Award in 2005, two times participant in Olympics and India's national champion for a record equalling nine times when she won all the senior national championships between 1997 and 2006.
